The great player of Indian cricket team who used to create fear in batsmen with his Polio hand.

Polio , by hearing this word , first picture that would come in our  mind is that a man who is physically incapable. In this situation , can you imagine polio stuck person would play so well that he will create fear in the hearts of those who are physically more compatible to him , sound like a dream. But in Team India We was a player who made his polio hand his only weapon and created fear in batsmen. Yes we are talking about Bhagwat Subramaniam Chandrasekhar nicknamed as chandu. He is that chandu for whom Bhisan Singh Bedi said that “when I see chandu on the Field it feels like I am seeing god infront of me.” When Chandrasekhar was 6 years old then his right hand got weak due to polio attack but instead of giving up in life , he made that hand his weapon. It was difficult for a Batsmen to understand the ball thrown by chandu. It is said that after a long runup when the Chandrasekhar threw the googly ball then the batsmen could not even see the ball.
In 1964 , when Chandu  step in field to play against England and surprised everyone by throwing 16 maiden overs in first innings and getting g 4 wickets. In his test career , he took 5 wickets 16 times in an inning and ten wickets in a match in two times. Chandrasekhar was out of cricket field due to his polio hand but his passion for cricket didn’t ended up. In 1971 returning back after few years and playing against England then he got 6 wickets in 38 runs. Chandrasekhar was a great Bowler but a worse Batsmen. In his whole Test series career he only made 167 runs. He ducked 23 times in 80 innings. Expecting a good batsmen from great bowler is no where a good thing and this was being proved by Chandrasekhar.
